Juan de Palafox y Mendoza Collection, 1563-1750.

Literary productions and correspondence collected by Genaro García for his work on the life of Palafox. Materials pertain to Palafox's dispute with the Jesuits regarding the diezmo (tithing), to church affairs in Mexico and New Spain (primarily during the seventeenth century), and to the process of Palafox's beatification. Many of these documents were issued by the Society of Jesus.
